On Wednesday Constable Paul came to Makarewa School to show Room 1 how to ride safely on our bikes. We set up an obstacle course on our tennis courts. We fitted our helmets correctly and tested our skills. On the obstacle course we had to stop at a Give Way and a Stop sign. Then indicate to the people behind us that we were turning. We went over a jump ,a see saw and some bumps. If we passed the obstacle race we could now ride safely on the road. We all passed!

Road safety
Constable Herrick helps Maison fit her helmet correctly. We learned the steps of how to fit a helmet correctly. We had to position the front of the helmet on the middle of our forehead and tighten the back straps of our helmet.
